{This Moment}

{This Moment} - A SouleMama Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. We have been enjoying the beautiful royal wedding this morning and awestruck by the elegance of this lovely young couple and special day!  Many wishes are sent to Prince William and Princess Catherine for a blessed marriage full of love and joy!

Simply Ten Good Things

Once again taking a cue from SouleMama:
morning snuggles
beautiful blue sky days
clothes drying on the line
digging in the dirt
conversations with kindred spirits
running barefoot in the grass
hugs
wisdom from like minded mamas
bouquets of fresh picked flowers
(long awaited) good news from dear friends

Spring Nature Table

In my Easter basket was a lovely nest for our nature table!  Both girls were quite taken with the nest, and after they had played for a bit Grace asked if she could put it on our nature table.  Carefully, she carried it in and placed it on the table, along with her lovely Rose Fairy.  It's the perfect addition to our spring table!

Easter Morning

Little did we know that the day would end up being warm and gorgeous and lovely. Had we known we would have certainly waited to check out the Easter baksets 'till later in the morning so that we could have been outside like we were last year.  Since we did not expect the gorgeous blue sky day that Mother Nature sent our way (it had rained all Saturday, through the night and early morning Sunday as well) we decided to do the Easter basket thing first thing in the morning in the comfort of the family nest!
It was a lovely beginning to a glorious day (more posts about all our Easter fun coming throughout the week)!

Earth Day

"Earth, so big, and me, so small- Oh, what good can I do?"  Funny you should ask, my child.  The world's been waiting for you!"
-One Child, One Planet by Bridget McGovern Llewellyn
We planted the wildflower seeds that Hannah sent us for Earth Day!
There was lots of outside time, of course!
And no Earth Day is complete without a little neighborhood clean up!
While everyday in our family is Earth Day, we never miss a chance to celebrate a wonderful holiday either! Earth Day is easily one of our most favorite, and as the girls have gotten older it's been fun to see them grow into quite the little conservationists!  They truly do not understand why anyone would ever leave their trash to harm Mother Earth and Mother Nature (and neither do I)!

One final thought in regard to Earth Day (as found on the front of the seed packets given out at Mario Batali's restaurant):

"Dear Earth,
We are sorry.
We are working on it.
Please be patient a little while longer.
We think the world of you. Love, The Human Race."
