Saturday Evening Blueberry Picking

It is our tradition to go blueberry picking first thing in the morning. However, this past Saturday, with the extreme heat our favorite farm decided that they'd open the blueberry fields from 8:00am-8:00pm. Never having gone blueberry picking in the evening (and figuring it would be cooler by then) we decided that we'd take advantage of the later picking times and go around 6:00pm. When we arrived it was cooler (as I had hoped) and there was only one other couple there picking. The night was gorgeous, the blueberries plentiful and the fields peaceful. It was absolutely perfect, and we were so happy that we waited to pick rather than going in the warmer morning. What a lovely way to end a summer Saturday! xo

Craft Camp::Day Three, Four And Five

The girls had such an amazing week at craft camp! Each day they came home with three projects and each project was more lovely than the one before it (and they were all beautiful). On day four, the girls each surprised me with a necklace they had made- one of which even had an anchor on it! I loved all of their creations but my most favorite (of the ones they made for themselves) was definitely the sweet dragonfly bracelets they made on the last day. They are very enchanting and so very Grace and Emma.

Their only complaint about this week was that it went by way too fast! And although this summer still has several more weeks to it, they are looking forward to next summer, and another week at craft camp, already! xo

{This Moment} Officially Ten

{This Moment} A Friday ritual. A single photo -no words- capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you are inspired to do the same leave a link to your moment for all to find and see. We wish you a wonderful weekend. xo

Craft Camp: The First Two Days

Craft Camp Day One was a smashing success! The girls had a blast and came home with two beautiful projects. An ocean themed necklace and anklet. The group ran out of time so the bracelet had to wait till the next day.

Day Two was even more fabulous than Day One but that may be due in part to the fairy theme! Today's projects: earrings, necklaces, bracelets (the one they didn't have time for yesterday) and soap! xo
