All Creatures Great and Small

This evening as I was getting dinner ready I heard the tell tale sound of a bird hitting the kitchen door. I went out to see if the bird was Ok and discovered this woodpecker on the deck, stunned. I grabbed the towel you see in this picture and carefully lifted it up to see if it was OK. She nestled into the towel and I brought her over to the railing where she perched for a bit before flying off. xo
