Day Six- Thanksgiving Day At Disney World

Thanksgiving Day arrived (though it didn't really feel like Thanksgiving due to the warmer-than-we're-used-to temps and the lack of cooking and baking and cleaning) and with it our Disney Day! We caught the 7:15am bus to Epcot!
No trip to Epcot is complete without a ride through The Land.

Wandering through Germany.
The girls loved the KidCot Fun Spots so much last time that they just had to do them again this time!
This pretzel fed all six of us!

Grandma Joan. her granddaughters and her favorite Princess!
Off to Italy for some gelato (the first ice cream of the day)!

And now for some ice cream in France!
On our way out of Epcot Grace spotted this gorgeous painted rock! She carried it with her to the Magic Kingdom and hid it there for someone else to find!
Thanksgiving Day at Magic Kingdom is a whole other experience. It was gorgeous, but much more crowded than Epcot was.
Boarding the bust to head back to the ship for a gorgeous (and traditional) Thanksgiving Dinner! xo

See Ya Real Soon!

Friday was our last day at the parks. We started our day with a trip to the Magic Kingdom to do a few rides that we didn't get to do earlier in the week. Dave and Emma made a beeline for the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride (the wait was an hour- too long of a line in my opinion). While he and Emma were in line Grandma Joan, Grandpa Ron, Grace and I had fun exploring the Magic Kingdom. We got to meet Snow White, which is awesome since this is Grandma's favorite princess. Now, if only Emma was with us so she could have been in this picture too!
Emma in line at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride. They are glad that they got to ride it but even Dave admited that an hour wait for this ride may have been too long.
 Waiting to meet Tinkerbell.
Grace and her pal Tink.
The mosaics at Cinderella's Castle were simply enchanting!
 Rapunzel's tower.
After the Magic Kingdom we went back to the resort for some pool time and dinner. After dinner it was back to Epcot for some ice cream in France (oh gosh, how I loved that ice cream!).
Good-bye, Epcot! Until we meet again!
Next up the Magic Kingdom for the Electrical Light Parade.
I cannot believe that it took me 'til my fourth trip to experience this fabulous parade. It was the perfect way to end our Disney adventure!

As we headed out of the Magic Kingdom that night I couldn't help but feel sad. This amazing trip had ended, and while I know we were all ready to be back north where the weather was cooler, we really had such a great time that it was sad to see it all end. We said "good-bye" and many "thank-yous" to Dave's parents that night as they were flying out the next morning (we didn't leave until Sunday so there are still more pictures to come). What an incredibly magical journey, and one full of memories that we will treasure forever! Though we do not yet know when we'll be back next we're looking forward to our next Disney adventure already. Whenever that may be! xo

Be sure to check back later tonight for our Wordless Wednesday post.

Back at Epcot

Thursday had us heading back to Epcot to explore more of the World Showcase and to attend the Behind the Seeds tour at The Land. The tour was amazing!
The girls loved the Living with the Land ride so much (they rode it a total of three times while we were there) that we knew that they would love to get to go behind the scenes in the greenhouse.  What a truly neat experience for all of us!
This is Stanley the Plant. He closes up his leaves when touched. The girls were quite enchanted by him (we all were).
The plants in the greenhouses are all grown using various types of hydroponics. Check out the tomato tree!
Since Grace and Emma were the only two children on the tour Hannah, our tour guide, invited them to help her release ladybugs before she concluded our tour. What a wonderful surprise!
Releasing the ladybugs. They were a little tricky to get out of the vials.
Emma in Grandma Joan's hat during lunch.
 Morocco.
While we wandered through the World Showcase the girls made sure to get their fans stamped and a flag added to it from each of the countries KidCot spots. This was such fun, and we highly recommend this to all who go to Epcot with littles!
 Into Germany.
Heading into China.

I'm so glad that we spent a full day at Epcot. There is just so much goodness there (and I don't just mean the food)! The girls really enjoyed Epcot, and I think that if they could ride the Living with the Land ride all day they would! Watching them release the ladybugs was really so very special, and is a moment that I will treasure from this day always. xo

Be sure to check back later tonight for a ltitle glimpse into what we were up to today!
