Sunday Family Fun

This past week Dave came home from work with a gingerbread house. The husband of one of the women that Dave works with is the lucky recipient of a gingerbread house from one of his patients every year.  This year since they already had one they decided to send this one our way!  It was really beautiful, and we spent the rest of the week enjoying the sight of it.  Last night, after some delicious creamy baked pumpkin risotto, we decided to open the box and try it out.  It tasted as good as it looks!

This morning, as we had breakfast we discussed what it was we wanted to do today.  Dave suggested that we take a drive and check out The Gingerbread Construction Company.  It sounded like a good idea to the girls and I, so we finished our breakfast, got ready and headed out on our adventure of the day.

 

 

 

We've arrived!

Sadly, there was no place to sit inside the bakery and eat our cookies and muffins.  Back into the car we went.  Don't they look thrilled?
