"Well Done, Sister Suffragette!"

We're clearly soldiers in petticoats
And dauntless crusaders for woman's votes
Though we adore men individually
We agree that as a group they're rather stupid!

Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done, Sister Suffragette!"

From Kensington to Billingsgate
One hears the restless cries!
From ev'ry corner of the land:
"Womankind, arise!"
Political equality and equal rights with men!
Take heart! For Missus Pankhurst has been clapped in irons again!

No more the meek and mild subservients we!
We're fighting for our rights, militantly!
Never you fear!

So, cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done! Well done!
Well done Sister Suffragette!"

Just A Spoonful Of Sugar

One week ago tonight we were in Providence with my parents and sister and her boyfriend to celebrate Kait and Emma's birthdays (Em turns four on the 21st and Kait's birthday is the 28th) and to see the stage production of Mary Poppins! We met for pizza at Bob and Timmy's (easily some of the best pizza we've ever had!) before the show for dinner and a little birthday celebration.
Thanks Gramma and Grandpa for the finger puppets!
Thanks Aunt Kaitlyn and Eric for the necklace making set!
Oh my gosh, what an amazing night!  The talent in the cast is out of this world!  While the stage production was much different than the movie that we all know and love it was still just as wonderful and magical as you would expect it to be.  We all had an incredible time and have spent the past week singing Mary Poppins songs.  Thanks so much Kait and Eric for getting us tickets to the show!  We had a truly fabulous time!

Our Day

We had planned to stay home today since there was a nasty snowstorm predicted.  Although it's not nearly as bad out there as they had thought it would be, it was nice to be home and just enjoy each other's company.

The girls picked up right where they left off last night.
Although this time they used Em's special blanket.

Grace asked for her bike and while we don't usually ever bring her bike in the house
it seemed like it would be something fun to do on this grey, gloomy day.
She even mastered peddling today!
Drive-in movie time.

I have a feeling that Emma thinks that by sitting this close to the TV that she is in the movie.
Crazy kid.

We're wondering if the snowstorm is going to pick up soon.
We still only have a dusting of snow, yet they are predicting roughly a foot (give or take).
I am off to make some soup for dinner.
Have a wonderful night, friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.
