Godspell Jr.

The girls returned home from Pilgrim Lodge (posts on camp and picking them up from camp coming soon) and then the following Monday they began a two week musical theater camp with their beloved musical theater teacher and coach, Michael. This past Thursday and Friday the girls (a small but mighty group of eight) performed! They did a fabulous job, learning many, many paragraphs of lines in a very short time! Below are some scenes from both performances.
Emma's solo during "Prepare Ye" was hauntingly beautiful.
Grace as Jesus during the Beatitudes.

These girls act as beautifully as they dance! It's always a joy to get to see them on stage! xo

Scenes From Honk Jr.

(Group photo cred: Heather Collette)

All of their hard work over the last two weeks completely paid off in the form of two wonderful performances of Honk Jr! For those who were not able to attend, or who aren't familiar with this play, Honk Jr. is the story of the ugly duckling. For a first foray into summer theater this group of nineteen, and their incredibly talented director, didn't disappoint! It was a lot to learn in a little under two weeks time and they all rose to the challenge beautifully.

Oh, and for those wondering, Grace performed the role of the Mother Swan, with Emma performing as the turkey (who, thankfully, makes it through Thanksgiving)!

Thank you, Michael, for an amazing two weeks for all of the girls! Grace and Emma are looking forward to the next summer production already! xo
