Also, Yesterday....

Yesterday, while the girls and I were at Silver Lake Dave stayed behind to get more done on the chicken coop. We hated not to have him with us, but were grateful for all he got done while w were away! Here's to hoping we can move them in next weekend! xo

In Which The Hens Get A New Home

What do you get hens for their first birthday (coming next month)?! Why a new, more spacious, locally made coop, of course! xo

In Their Winter Home

On Saturday morning we moved the coop (yes, mom, in the pouring rain!) to its winter location. We wanted it closer to a door so that we could have quicker access to the hens in the winter, and since snow was forecast we decided it was "ready or not here we come" time. Let's just say that it's a good thing I work out and like to lift heavy stuff because that coop is no joke! The hens aren't fans of winter but they do seem to love their new location (and we do too)!  xo
