Popcorn

Last night before my Weight Watchers meeting I went out in search of a popcorn maker.  I had been wanting one for awhile now and decided that now was as good a time as any to hunt one down.  We love popcorn and have returned to making it on the stove, which although delicious is a wee bit difficult on the electric range that we have, and is also higher in points since it's popped in oil instead of being air popped.  I decided that now was as good a time as any to go on the hunt for one.

Target had nothing, and since I was not in the mood to venture into Wal-Mart, I headed to Khol's, which if truth be known is not one of my most favorite places.  Favorite place or not, it seemed to me that Khol's would be the most likely place to find one and a rather inexpensive one too.  It was indeed there and as an added bonus, it was even on sale!

There was much excitement in the land when the popcorn started to pop.

There was also much gasping at the sight of it.

These two have never met a box that they didn't find something fun to do with.

Popcorn.  It's not just for snack anymore.
Such a very yummy lunch.
And a great way to kick off a lazy afternoon too.
I have a feeling that this popcorn maker will more than pay for itself.
Have a wonderful rest of the day, friends
As always, we'll see you tomorrow.

Popcorn and Polka Dots

Today we had our friends from The Chronicles of Mad Molly over.

And what better way to kick off a late morning playdate than with a big bowl of freshly popped popcorn?

Except for maybe watching Piglet's Big Movie while eating the popcorn.

We could have played with these markers all day.

"Tah Dah!"

A lazy day with friends is just the perfect way to spend a dreary March day.
Enjoy the rest of your day, friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.

Popcorn and a Movie

After our super busy weekend, David and I decided that we should have a lazy after nap time time today.  So that is exactly what we did.

Fresh (stove) popped popcorn.
Delicious!

Emma insisted on those pants with that onesie.
She's such a trendsetter.

Even Al was worn out.

A lazy afternoon was just what we needed.  The girls really loved Finding Nemo (we fast forwarded through the scary parts). Grace thought the part where Dory speaks whale was hysterical! We have never heard her laugh like that. We think it was one of the first times that she realized that something in a movie can be funny!

We hope that you had a wonderful weekend too.
Sleep well, dear friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.
