Pancakes For Dinner

Tonight, as is our tradition on Shrove Tuesday, we had pancakes for supper. We used this super yummy pancake recipe from the Pioneer Woman though we added blueberries to it. They were so good! Next year, I think we may try the thin pancakes that are traditionally eaten in the UK on Pancake Day! They sound absolutely delicious! xo

Mardi Gras Pancakes

Since today was Mardi Gras it seemed only fitting that we should have pancakes for dinner. That is, after all, the traditional Shrove Tuesday meal.  And what could possibly be better than having pancakes for dinner?  Why sharing them with our dearest friends, of course!  Grace asked if we could make "colorful pancakes" and our friends thought that sounded very fun (and very appropriate for Mardi Gras)! The kids loved that they each got to choose the color of their pancakes!
These kids sure don't mess around when it comes to eating colorful pancakes! I lost count of how many each child ate but I think it's safe to say that they were eating them faster than Sarah could make them!  It was such a fun filled, yummy night that I'm thinkin' we need to make this an annual thing!

Happy Mardi Gras, friends!  Let the good times roll!
