In The Enchanted Forest

On Saturday we surprised the girls with a trip to the Lost Shoe for their Harry Potter event.

It was only our second time dining in since the pandemic began last March. Dave and I walk to the Shoe every morning. They had the inside decorated as an enchanted forest. We had talked about going in December but never did, so when we saw that they were doing a Harry Potter themed event this past weekend we just knew we had to go! I am realizing now I did not take any pictures of the forest while we were there!

Dave's Butterbeer (and sample of one of the beers he really liked that they carried this holiday season).

Golden Snitches. You can't have an HP event without them!

Babies first soda (yes, for real)!
Delicious food, good company and a lovely night all around! We loved that it wasn't crowded and that we had this wonderful little nook to ourselves! The perfect place for our second time dinning out! xo

Shop Local

Our goal during this pandemic is to go each day and buy something at a locally owned business. It could be something as simple as a cup of coffee (like on today's walk) or a cookie or something more elaborate like a gift certificate or new kettlebells (both of which we have been checked off the list). We want to make sure that during this time of social distancing and staying home that we do our best to support local shops over the big box stores. Shopping local has always been a priority for us, but even more so now. xo

An Early Anniversary Celebration

Continuing backwards through all the pictures I have been a slacker in sharing, next up is our last date night/early anniversary celebration meal!

Dave's beer....
Our waffles.

I adore fall bikini prep. It's a good twelve weeks that doesn't involve any major holidays or birthdays. However, the downside of fall prep is that it starts before our wedding anniversary and it also means that I can't enjoy all the yummy goodness at the Greek Festival. With prep starting a week before our seventeenth wedding anniversary we decided to have one final (yummy) date night. The waffles at The Lost Shoe are some of the best around and I am glad that I got to have one more before kick-off arrived! xo
