On Her Eighteenth Birthday

 

Emma's birthday was so much fun and absolutely fabulously Emma! Her birthday started with gifts (as all good birthdays do), some that she was given right away and some throughout the day.

After gifts (and some snowblowing of the driveway) we headed out to the Natick Mall so that she could get Toothless stuffed at Build-A-Bear and her free birthday gifts from Sephora. 

 After that it was off to Legacy Place where we had a quick bite to eat at Cafe Nero before going to MiniLuxe for a mani for Em and a pedi for Grace (and some walking around for Dave and me).

 After their nail appointments we enjoyed a yummy lunch at the Friendly Toast and gave Emma the final birthday card of the day which instructed her to

head to Kendra Scott to find something beautiful to commemorate her eighteenth trip around the sun. 

We ended the day with a cake from Ben & Jerry's (made with Phish Food and Cherry Garcia ice cream, of course!) and some Olympic figure skating. And, just like that the final Tscherne girl has become an adult! These years went by way too fast but they have been truly glorious! We are looking to see where her first trip around the sun as an adult takes her! xo

So This Happened....

 

And just like that Emma's senior session is in the books!It was a gorgeous day for her shoot in Worcester, and we even got a couple of just Grace as well (since Liz was not doing min-grad sessions last spring due to medical reasons). It's hard to beleive that we are here again already and that this is the last time we will be doing senior pictures but here we are. Now, just to wait for the professional pictures, which are sure to be stunning! xo

And.....she's back ont he dance team! After a few years off from competative dance Emma decided to  audition for the hip hop team and was rewarded with a spot in the large group hip hop piece that Miss Deanna is creating! It's great to see that jacket back on her and we cannot wait to see her shine bright on that stage this spring! xo

Happy Braces Off Day, Emma!

Just about two-and-a-half years later and her new gorgeous smile has been revealed! Happy Braces Off Day, Emma! The day you have waited for has arrived and now you can enjoy all the foods you have beem missing! xo 

Our Week

On Monday, I arrived home from work to discover that Emma had created a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me from the flowers we brought home from Easter. It was such a lovely surprise! 

Tuesday saw Clove and Violet spending more time together. They are doing really well and while it's a slow thing this bonding process I have no doubt that in the end they will be besties! 

On Thursday we spy the rare Emma bird in her natural habitat. Perched on the counter enjoying the remains of the banana bread bowl! 

Thursday and Friday evening both looked like the above pictures. With the temperatures unseasonably hot (annoyingly so for us who don't love summer weather) we sought refuge outside on the deck where it was cooler than inside. Even Gretchen joined in the fun! Pizza followed by peach popsicles rounded out the day. 

And on Saturday I put the finishing touches on the final project for the two classes I took this semester. I love my doctoral program, cohort and school and these two classes were some of my favorites thus far! Here's to hoping that I can stay on track and finish up by summer 2024! xo
