Like Mother, Like Daughter

Yes, yes she is!

I just love that the minute she saw this shirt she asked to bring it home! "Mama, I just love this shirt! I'll wear it to dance class tomorrow and on Mother's Day, too!" After such a sweet reaction how could we possibly leave this shirt at Target?! xo

On The First Day Of Spring

The changing of the seasons has always been a much looked forward to time in our family, and today was no exception! The winter/Saint Patrick's Day decorations were put away, and out came the spring/Easter decorations. As is our tradition we read Mother Earth and her Children before lessons today (and The Story of the Root Children at bedtime tonight). There was a lovely spring verse said (with accompanying hand motions /dance) and then it was off to put the aforementioned verse in their main lesson books. Afterward, sap buckets were checked and emptid, bikes were ridden and snow walked through. It was far too beautiful of a day to not get outside! This evening, while Grace was at dance Emma and I decided to see what treasures may be  found at Target, and while it had been agreed upon that we would not be buying anything we did come away with two egg decorating kits (gnomes, snails and toadstools!  How could we not?!) and a shirt for Emma (check back tomorrow to see it's fabulousness)!

Happy Spring, dear friends! We hope that your day was as lovely as ours! xo

The First Day Of Spring

It doesn't look all that different from the last day of winter now does it?!
Happy Spring, Everyone!

Happy Spring!

Since today was the first full day of spring we thought that a fun way to celebrate the arrival of the new season would be to decorate the house.  We dug out all the spring decorations we could find and got to work.
The girls loved gathering their fairies and other spring toys to decoate our nature table with.
"We'll use our toys just until the blooming blooms come, mama." Sounds like a good idea to me.
It was officially decided that we need to add some more spring decorations to our collection, one of which is this (oh, and this too)!

We wish each of you a lovely spring full of joy, many blessings and lots of ordinary miracles!

Happy First Day of Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring, dear friends!  To celebrate the first day of this wonderful season, and this amazing stretch of weather we've been having (70 degrees in March?! Simply fabulous!) we headed into Boston, stopped by the Children's Museum (David had never been, and on a day like this we felt it wouldn't be too crowded), took a walk, and a picnic lunch.

On our way to Boston we passed by some of the areas that are
still dealing with flooding after last weekends storms.

It just so happened to be healthcare day at the museum.
The girls got to adopt a stuffed animal and have the doctors/nurses check it out.

And they made doctors bags.
So fun!

We had to explore the new Curious George exhibit too.

After lunch,we walked along the Harbor Walk.
As always, The Barking Crab was super crowded.

On our way home, we stopped by DQ for our first family DQ trip of the season.

Everyone else in the area had the same idea.
As a result, there was nowhere to sit, so we ate in the car.
With the windows down and moon roof open, of course.

Once we arrived home we helped Mother Nature by clearing out some of the gardens.

On a day like this we had no other choice but to grill.

And to have a picnic dinner.
We loved being able to get out and enjoy all aspects of nature today, both in the city and at home.
Most of all we loved being able to spend time together.
We hope each of you had a wonderful day too.
Happy First Day of Spring!
We'll see you tomorrow.
