"Come, For All Things Are Ready...."

They weren't expecting to help with communion today since it's still summer worship but when Greg asked if we had any Junior Deacons to  help serve these two jumped right in! xo

On Children's Sunday

The Cherub Choir and Junior Choir sing "All God's Critters".
Each child shared what God made them good at before pinning a piece of the mosaic on the board.
All their gifts together make one wonderful faith community!
It was another lovely Children's Sunday yesterday! A wonderful ending to another Faith Workshop year! xo

On Children's Sunday

What a truly wonderful worship service today! The children and teachers worked so hard to create  a very special Children's Sunday service. All their hard work, crafting, practicing, singing and dedication truly paid off, and we were treated to what was easily the best Children's Sunday ever! Grace and Emma did such a beautiful job reading the scripture passages they were assigned (their first time doing so) and Emma was absolutely thrilled to receive her Junior Deacon pin today, too!

Special thanks to all who work with the children of Plymouth Church. We are so eternally grateful for each and every one of you! Thank you for loving the children and youth of Plymouth Church so completely, and for sharing your time and talents with each of them (and with all of us) each and every week of the academic year. Faith Workshop wouldn't be as incredible and as fabulous as it is without each of you! Have a wonderful summer! xo

Bringing The Light

The following words were printed on the front of the worship bulletin today:

"We come before God, not to glorify war, but to honor and celebratate those who walked into the chaos and evil that is war. None who have waded through evil, death and sorrow are untouched in body, mind or spirit; they are beloved to God. We all were affected and changed by Military Action, Armed Conflict, and war, and all are in need of reflection, renewal, comfort and healing."
