A Sweet Ending

With nature school and dance ending this week we decided to celebrate another wonderful (albeit unusual) year with floats from J&M Diner today! The coronavirus sure made for an interesting second half of the lesson year but these girls (and their teachers and friends) more than rose to the occasion! So impressed with the incredible ways that everyone found to keep the girls dancing and connected even if they couldn't be together at the studio, in the forest or at Girl Scouts or youth group! So grateful to have such incredible adults connected to us and our sweet girls! We truly are so  very thankful/grateful/blessed! Have a wonderful summer, everyone! Be well, stay safe, wash your hands and wear a mask! xo

Last Day Of Dance Class

This week is the last week of dance class at the studio. Rehearsals for the recital are next week so we figure that with this being the last class at the studio this week it was the perfect time to make and give thank-you gifts to the girls teacher.
Grace and Emma found Fuchsia plants at Russell's over the weekend and since they think that the flowers look like little ballerinas (they are totally right) they decided that this is what they would give Miss Lauri.
And since they were giving her potted flowers they figured it only made sense to paint pots to put the flower in.
And paint they did!
When the pots were dry they got to work planting.
And watering.
Cards were made too, of course.

And then it was time for Grace to head to her last studio class.
Crazy how fast this year has gone.
And Emma the next day.
She wanted her last day picture taken at home.
But I had to get one of her with her class too!

It was fun to watch the girls give Miss Lauri the gifts they had made for her. She was very surprised and I do believe very honored to have two such thoughtful gifts bestowed upon her this week. It's been an amazing year and we are all looking forward to seeing the girls perform in the upcoming recital. It is sure to be a fabulous day!
