On Pumpkin Day

What a perfect way to spend National Pumpkin Day (and that was totally not planned, BTW!)! And yes, that is six year old Grace in the first picture. ðŸ¥° xo

Pumpkin Getting

We had planned to go to our favorite pumpkin patch again this year but with the way the weekends have worked out there were none by the time we arrived. Instead, we bought a couple of cider doughnuts and headed to our favorite farm to see what we might find there!
 Discussing her jack-o-lantern idea.
A pumpkin carving contest?! Yes please!
(Both girls signed up)
We just love everything about this sweet farm! I am so grateful that the girls have grown up here and that it's one of their favorite places to go. Each event that they put on is always so lovely and it's always a joy to be a part of it. A pumpkin carving contest is such a great idea and we cannot wait to see all the entries (and, of course, their annual jack-o-lantern display on Halloween night)! xo

On Saturday

Nothing like sitting outside on a glorious late October day carving pumpkins! It really doesn't get any better (or more New England-y) than that! xo

{This Moment} On The Scale

{This Moment} - A single  photo capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you are inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments section for all to find and see. We wish you a lovely last end of October and a very happy Halloween to those who celebrate! xo

Weekending

Oh, friends, we had such a lovely weekend! The weather was glorious and it was one of those weekends that was such a lovely balance of work and play. Our weekend began with a trip to Drumlin Farm for their Tales of the Night event. We had never been before but with the promise of 100 jack-o-lanterns how could we pass it up? The jack-o-lanterns were amazing and the Nursery Rhyme trail was pure fun! Saturday was full of chores and knitting. The final harvest took place and the gardens were put to bed for the winter. Dave worked more on the fence while the girls and I cleaned all the windows. And in between all the chore doing there was much playing and knitting- all done outside, of course. Sunday brought with it the finished fence, pumpkin picking and pumpkin carving (but that's another post all together). Such goodness this weekend, friends, and we hope yours was just as lovely as ours! xo
