On International Daughters Day

 

Every day in our house is National Daughters Day, which is good because I’m a day late in recognizing this auspicious occasion! Love you girls to the and and and back!

And Then There Were Four!

 

So proud of this girl! She worked hard to save up for her first car and it paid off!! She is now the proud owner of a 2023 Volvo XC40! Gone are the days of first cars being beaters (cars like that are basically a thing of the past)! Safe travels, Grace! I have no doubt that you and this car will have many wonderful adventures together!  xo

Twenty Five Years Ago...

 Twenty-five years. A quarter of a century and the gorgeous color of the sky that day is still so incredibly vivid in my mind. I'm not sure that color has been seen again, but it is captured so perfectly in this picture..

As I drove to The New England Center for Children that morning I remember thinking that if the sky was any indication we were in for a wonderful day. Little did I know how wrong I would turn out to be...

Happy Back to School Eve!

 

Happy Back to School Eve! My classroom is ready for my students in first through fourth grade to arrive tomorrow (my two kindergarteners start next week)! Thank you so much to everyone who donated books and supplies to make it the beautiful and welcoming space you see in these pictures! It means so much to me to have my classroom outfitted with things from so many people that I hold so dear! Please send my staff (I have six teaching assistants!) and I some good energy tomorrow as we welcome the students into this space and begin the 2026-2027 school year!
