Mother’s Day

With our impromptu car buying adventure yesterday, we spent today playing catch up. We started our day with a trip to Flour Bakery in Boston, where we passed all the Northeastern grads taking pictures on our walk to and from Flour, and then spent the rest of the day doing all the things that we did not do the day before. Even though it wasn't the most glamourous of Mothering Sundays it was probably one of my most favorite yet.

To those who texted me today my apologies. I knew if I stopped to reply or return your call that I would never have gotten back to what I was working on!

Thank you to David for everything over the years. For the support, encouragement and laughter (cause you gotta find the humor) as we journied through The Land of Infertility all those years ago), to your willing ness to be the sole bread winnder for many, many moons so that I could leave out my calling to stay home with our girls, to all you did so that I could make it through this docotral program. I could not imagine a better partner for me in this parenting joruney.

Thank you to my girls, for making this day possible for me to even celebrate. To Grace, who took her time to get here but arrived at the exact right moment. And to Emma who surprised us with how quickly she arrived on the scene. I cannot imagine my life without either of you and ma so grateful you chose me to be your mama.

I love you to the moon 🌙 and Saturn 🪐and back. xo 😘

On Mother's Day

It was such an absolutely lovely Mother's Day today!  From the gorgeous flowers that Dave's parents sent me, to the most perfect cards and gifts from Dave and the girls to the Mother's Day crown that the chuldren made in Sunday School for their moms (and that I made an example one of the night before) to the yummy dinner Dave made I couldn't ask for a more delightful day! Thank you, Grace and Emma, for making my dreams of motherhood a reality! It truly is my most favorite job ever (my calling, if you will)! And thank you, David, for always making me feel like a queen! I am blessed beyond meassure! xo

An Early Mother's Day Gift

On Monday these beautiful flowers arrived at our front door! There is truly nothing like getting flowers delivered to you by the local florist! Such a lovely surprise from Dave's parents ahead of Mother's Day! And while Monday's weather was absolutely lovely, the weather since has been cold and rainy but this gorgeous arrangement has definitely been a bright spot in the dreary week! Thank you, Ron and Joan! They are absolutely gorgeous! xo

A lovely Mother's Day

A delicious lemon raspberry cake from Flour Bakery, cards and a gift subscription to the Ferjulian's cutting garden from Dave and the girls and a lovely day spent with my three most favorite people in the whole wide world made for the most perfect of Mother's Days (pandemic or otherwise) today. xo

{This Moment} Among The Tulips

{This Moment} A weekend ritual. A single photo -no words- capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Wishing you the loveliest of weekends. xo

Wednesday At The Tulip Farm

On Wednesday, we went back to Wicked Tulips, except this time we had my mom and my sister with us! It was another absolutely glorious day made even more fabulous by having all five of us together! It was truly the perfect early Mother's Day gift to my mom and myself. Emma has already decreed that this is now a tradition and none of us disagreed! Next year though, we must plan an even longer visit to the farm as our time together wasn't nearly long enough! xo

On Mother's Day

Mother's Day yesterday was simple and sweet and perfectly lovely! Homemade cards from my darling girls, along with the gift of pansies for the front porch, and lunch after church (and lots of time spent outside) made for a wonderful day! I am so eternally grateful and so very thankful to get to be the mama of two such sweet souls. I love that I get to spend each and every day journeying through life with these two amazing girls and their sweet papa. Thank you, David, Grace and Emma for always making me feel like the luckiest wife and mother around! I love you all to the moon and stars and back! xo

On Mother's Day

Bracelets from my sweet girls (each choosing the prefect one for me from them) and a beautiful card from Dave made this chilliest and grayest of Mother's Days (possibly ever) much happier and lovelier! Hoping each and every one of you who celebrated today had just as sweet of a day as I did! xo

On Mother's Day

Yesterday was my ninth Mother's Day (my eighth as a mama of two) and like the others it was an absolutely lovely day. Simple, sweet, with all of my most favorite things (and most favorite people). Since the weather was less than stellar for the majority of the day (and hardly felt like May) we didn't venture very far from our usual Sunday places. I only asked one thing of my people- ice cream at our favorite place after dinner. It was the perfect ending to a truly perfect day. Thank you, David, Grace and Emma, for making me feel like the luckiest woman in the world yesterday (and every day)! I am so completely grateful and honored to get to be the mama to two such incredible souls. They (and their sweet papa) make each day extraordinary! I love you all to the moon and stars and back! xo

On Mother's Day

Dinner at Butter in NYC on Saturday night with two of our very best friends, and a beautiful plant and cards from my sweet girls on Sunday afternoon made for an absolutely splendid Mother's Day weekend! I am one very lucky and very blessed mama indeed! xo

On Mother's Day

Dave totally knocked it out of the park with this card!
It may be my most favorite Mother's Day card from him yet!
Cards from my sweet girls.
I was so excited about this book! These three know me so well!
After church we spent the day in Boston. First up, a ride on the Swan Boats!
While we waited our turn we were captivated by these sweet duckling.

One of the many swan boats.
A swan boat selfie with the sweet girl that made it possible for me to be celebrating Mother's Day!
Originally, we had planned to head Lilac Sunday. We changed our minds mid-trip and instead spent the day at the Common, the Public Garden and Newbury Street. When we came upon this Lilac while strolling down Newbury Street we couldn't help feel that we had gotten to do what we originally planned to do even if we didn't make it to the festival!
Getting to spend the day in my favorite city with my three favorite people made for a truly fabulous Mother's Day! Thank you David, Grace and Emma for making me feel like the luckiest woman on Earth yesterday (and every day)! I am truly blessed and eternally grateful to have the honor of being the mama of two such sweet souls. They (and their papa) make each day extraordinary! I love you all to the moon and stars and back! xo
