First the Pain, Then The Rising

The Maundy Thursday service is probably our most favorite (as odd as that sounds). It's beautiful and reverent and solemn. I have always loved this service, and from the very first time the girls attended they did too. Since our church is still not worshipping in person it was another Holy Week at Home for us this year. And though we did not join the Zoom worship service on Thursday night we did make sure to commemorate each of the days leading up to Easter Sunday. After all, first the pain, then the rising. This year, we used this wonderful resource which had us use the Advent Wreath, albeit a little differently, which made for a full circle experience (and an incredibly moving one at that).
