We have been looking forward to Wicked for Good since last year and it did not disappoint! In fact, it was everything we knew it would be and more! Honestly, it is hard to adequately express how much these two movies have made me fall in with these characters and this version of the Oz story. We took Grace to see the Broadway play for her sixteenth birthday (it was here in Boston at that exact time!) and while I enjoyed it I didn't leave the theater feeling that I loved it, and I think that was in part due to certain aspects of the story that were not so clear in the stage version. I loved that in these two movies were able to dive deeper in to the animal theme that is key to what is driving Elphaba to become the resistance to what is occurring in Oz. The parallels between what is occurring in Oz and what we are seeing occur here in America is also incredibly timely, important and not lost on us. Jon M. Chu, his team, the cast and the crew truly have create a cinematic masterpiece! xo
