Another lovely gathering in which we gave thanks to Mother Earth and her children and enjoyed a day of good company and good food! xo

On Thanksgiving Day
Easily the largest sweet potato we have ever seen!
It was lovely to gather together again yesterday and we were especially grateful that Mother Nature gifted us with a day that allowed us to be outside! We hope all of you had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you got to celebrate with the people and food that you love best. xo

On Thanksgiving Day
The girls kicked off Thanksgiving day with some pumpkin sheet cake (dessert breakfast, anyone?!) and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
Then we met up with Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ron at Old Sturbridge Village.
And there was lots,
and lots,
and lots of Racko playing.
Finally our feast was ready!
We were a small but mighty group this year! It's always lovely to have the entire family here but the small gatherings are just as wonderful too!
For those who celebrated we hope you day was full of gratitude for your many blessings and time spent with those you love most. xo

Happy Thanksgiving!
Lord, thank you for this special day
When we bow our heads in thanksgiving
When we bow our heads in thanksgiving
and consider our many blessings.
We thank you for our health and our homes,
and the beauty all around us.
We thank you for answering our prayers,
We thank you for our health and our homes,
and the beauty all around us.
We thank you for answering our prayers,
and for knowing what we need even before we ask.
Most of all, we thank you for surrounding us with the gifts of family and friends-
Most of all, we thank you for surrounding us with the gifts of family and friends-
for their laughter, trust and love.
Please bless those who can't be with us
Please bless those who can't be with us
yet remain close in our hearts,
and continue to bless and protect all.
This is our loving prayer to you on this Thanksgiving Day.
Amen.
I found this prayer on a Hallmark card years ago and we have said it before each Thanksgiving meal ever since.
and continue to bless and protect all.
This is our loving prayer to you on this Thanksgiving Day.
Amen.
I found this prayer on a Hallmark card years ago and we have said it before each Thanksgiving meal ever since.
Wishing you a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! We hope this day gave you a chance to reconnect and spend time with those you hold most dear and to spend time reflecting on all you are blessed with! xo

{This Moment} Thanksgiving At OSV
Home is where the heart is,
So let the heart beat strong,
May everyone who enters here,
Rest in knowing they belong.
May the sound of joyful laughter,
Echo sweetly through each room.
From the moment sunrise floods the earth,
To the rising of the moon.
Then in the quiet moments,
Of each evening may you hear,
The whispers of the angels,
Singing sweetly in your ear.
