Learning The "Big Numbers"

In the fall Grace asked us if we would help her to "learn the big numbers". One of the ways that seems to be a good fit for Grace to learn these numbers is by having her write them on index cards and then add them to her number line. She likes to play matching games with her numbers (I have created a set right along with her so that we can play all sorts of games with them) but she says she likes the number line the best. I think that's mostly because she likes to see how far she can make it stretch!

Another Beautiful Day

It's a wee bit hard to see but if you look closely you can see that Em has figured out how to peddle while standing up!

We had an incredibly mellow day today. Some new words added to Grace's book, some fun with numbers, an afternoon of vegging and then some fabulous time spent outside. It has been truly delightful and a perfect day all around!
