Emerald Starlight (as she's been named) has settled in nicely. She's been watered, measured, dressed up and completely doted on. She seems pretty happy in the plant stand in the kitchen, and we imagine it won't be long before her lovely locks are touching the ground! xo
Lucky you, she's lovely. I love philodendrons, but cannot keep any as they are toxic the house pets and my cat have a tendency to chew on leaves. The only safe place in the house, my sewing room, does not have enough light.. Did you know, they also climb? if ever she gets a bit unruly, you can also buy a nice little trellis. :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have to keep the trelis in mind! Thanks for the tip!
DeleteOur cat thankfully has no interest in real plants. Fake ones however, those she is all about! xo
They are doing a great job taking care of your friend's plant! I have a feeling they will want one of their own when Emerald Starlight (great name!) goes back home. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patricia! I think you may be right! :)
DeleteThey are such little mamas these two! It's one of the many reasons why I always think they should have been the oldest two of like six kids! xo
