Two kinds of eclipse viewers and space themed shirts.
We were totally geeking out over the eclipse today!
Helping Emma see the eclipse.
There it is!
What an incredible experience today! Here in Massachusetts the the view was 63% obscured which was impressive enough. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to experience totality! The two different viewers were great, though I we all felt that the box-over-the-head one gave the best "picture". We tried the colander technique but didn't have any luck getting that to work (though I think I figured out what we should do differently next time). Good thing we only have to wait until April of 2024 to try it again! Thank you, Mother Nature, for allowing us to have such a gorgeous day for this amazing show! It was simply magical! xo
It was so much fun! We had a bit of cloud cover, which actually helped to take photos and see it with glasses better. We did have patches of sun so used the box trick (which was so fun to make!) and binoculars upside down. However it was seen, it was wonderful. We got about 75%, and I was just in awe the whole time. Looking forward to 2024. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really was incredible! We were thrilled that Dave was able to be home too! We had some clouds as well but they seemed to help in a way (if that makes any sense)! Such an amazing experience!! xo
DeleteI kept trying to find us glasses but all the ones that were ISO certified were sold out! I would have loved to have seen it through the eclipse glasses though! The big box worked the best out of the ones we made! The cereal boxes worked for us but the big boxes were so much better!
ReplyDeleteWe are toying with coming to Burlington (or there abouts) for the eclipse in 2024! xo
