Friday In Boston

Last Friday, instead of our usual "Science Friday" it was "Civics and Government Friday". Along with a small group from our faith community we journied in to Boston to attend the stand-in the UCC was holding outside of the Governor's Office. The protest was peaceful and lasted only forty-five minutes (a perfect first experience for the girls) and afterward our group decided that since we were already there we might as well take the "Under the Golden Dome" tour. It was absolutely wonderful! The girls were in awe (especially of all the gorgeous stained glass) and shared with me on our way back home that they loved being at the State House and learning all sorts of neat things about it! I'd say that their first visit to the State House was perfect and definitely a success! xo
