Sunday Smiles::On The Counter
I came in to the kitchen to discover Miss Emma Faith sitting on the counter drinking a juice box.
Who knew we even had a juice box in the house?! Clearly, not I!

Happiness Is...
being "cornucopia gnomes,"
wearing fabulous outfits,
and surprising your mama with your newest (funniest!) hiding location!
These two were clearly put on this Earth to make us all smile.

More Fall Fun
Dave decided to tackle the last of the leaves today. And the moment he put the leaf blower on the girls began shrieking with joy: "Mama! He's making a big leaf pile! Can we play in the leaves? Please?" Coats and hats were put back on (we had just come in from a fair that was being held in town) and out we went.
And even though the leaves took a little longer than he had planned, it was still lovely to spend the time outside (something that we never, ever pass up the chance to do). With the last batch of leaves dumped in the compost bin we really are ready for the winter that is ahead of us. Soon enough there will be snow being cleared and played in, and wonderful winter memories being made. But until then, we'll bask in the glory that is the fall and the incredible life that we get to live and experience together each and ever day! What a gift! It is something that I am eternally thankful for.

{This Moment} - A SouleMama Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments of the SouleMama blog for all to find and see. Have a fabulous weekend, friends!

Our Day
Matching skirts are the perfect way to start the day.
Emma had a doctors appointment today, and on the way we passed the Wayside Inn Grist Mill. In the wake of all the rain we had, I had to take a picture and share it with all of you. Keep in mind, that there is not usually this much water flowing through at this point in the year.
And I figured since we would be passing the Martha Mary Chapel and the Little Red Schoolhouse I should take pictures of those too. The Martha Mary Chapel was in the movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. If you saw the movie it should look familiar.
And this is the schoolhouse that inspired the nursery rhyme Mary Had a Little Lamb.
And finally, Longfellow's Wayside Inn.
We love the Wayside Inn. Our family has had many wonderful meals there.
As we were making our way to the pediatrician we encountered this:
It made our 20 minute commute to the doctor turn into an hour long journey.
And the trip home was no better.
It took us an hour and a half to get back.
Not the way I had thought we would be spending the bulk of our day.
Tomorrow we have big plans to spend lots of time outside!
Have a wonderful night, friends.
As always, we'll see you tomorrow.
