At The Butterfly Garden

Last Friday brought a much looked requested trip to The Butterfly Place. It was a spur of the moment thing and we were so happy to have our best friends along on this adventure! It was a lovely day to be at the garden. Not too packed (as it's a small space) and lots of butterflies to see. The girls were quite intrigued by the man who was putting chrysalises from outside the USA into quarantine. "What is he doing to them, mama?" In addition to the butterflies there were sweet quail scurrying about, and a praying mantis to observe. The icing on the cake was seeing a glorious orange butterfly land on Grace's lovely blue headband. What a prefect ending to a lovely visit! xo

A Trip To The Butterfly Place

Last week since we released our butterflies it seemed like the perfect time to visit The Butterfly Place.

When you first arrive you get to see the various stages of the life cycle of the butterfly.

The Monarch chrysalides are just gorgeous!

Then it's time to go into the butterfly flight zone. 

It's such a magical place. The girls were totally in awe. 

"Mama! Look!" was heard lots!

We bought a couple of these butterfly identification cards. 

Double-sided and laminated and only $1.00? How could we not?!

We also learned that they sell Luna Moth cocoons. The girls and I had just been looking online to purchase some and hadn't had much luck. We were thrilled to get to bring two of them home.
