When I have said my evening prayer,
And my clothes are folded on the chair,
And mama switches off the light,
I'll still be three years old tonight.
But from the very break of day,
Before the children rise and play,
Before the darkness turns to gold,
Tomorrow I'll be four years old!
Four kisses when I wake,
Four candles on my cake.
Happy last night as a three year old, Emma Faith! XOXO
Wishing her a lovely day of celebrating tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteDid you write that poem, Shel? I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Kerry, No I wish I could take credit for the poem but I can't. I suppose I should have put annonymous as I cannot seem to find anyone to give credit to for it! I happened upon it one day as I was looking up birthday ring stuff and thought it was so sweet. We started using it last year and have loved it ever since. :)
