Sunday Evening

Today was Rally Sunday at church. For those that don't know this is the first day of the new Sunday School year (or Faith Workshop as it's called at our church). Many who attend UCC churches don't regularly attend over the summer so Rally Sunday is traditionally the day when everyone returns to church after spending the summer away. The start of the new Faith Workshop year brought with it a new curriculum, too. This year the children will each be bringing home sheets that correspond with what they learned about that day (which also corresponds to what is being taught about during worship). With these sheets coming home we felt that we wanted to find a time where the four of us could discuss them together. We chatted about this over dinner and it was decided that Sunday evening, after we were all changed into our jammies would be a good time to snuggle together and read the story and do the activities. What a lovely addition to our Sunday evening and a great to tie home and church together! xo
