And another Powder Puff Pinewood Derby is in the books! No one from our troop ended up placing in the top ten but the Easter Egg Racer and Lego car raced much better than we expected they would! The Easter Egg Racer surprised us all by coming in third a few times! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the Derby happen. It's always a fun way to spend a Saturday! xo

Derby Prep And Race Night!
Last night was the 4th annual Powderpuff Pinewood Derby! The girls spent the last week preparing their cars (a glittery shooting star car for Grace and an heirloom carrot car complete with glitter dirt for Emma). In all there were 120 racers in this years derby. The girls all raced really well and everyone had a great time! At the end of the night three of the girls from our troop even ended up on stage- Skyler for being in the top three, Maya for "most realistic car" and Emma for being in the top ten and being awarded "most unusual car"! Well done, girls! We are so proud of all of you!
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the Powderpuff Pinewood Derby possible! It was an incredible night and we are looking forward to next year already! xo

At The Girl Scout Meeting On Friday
On Friday we held a first aid and safety day at Girl Scouts. The Daisies and Brownies worked on their Safety Awards at home and then the Brownies earned their First Aid Badges at the meeting (and the Daisies learned a lot of fabulous stuff too)!
We thought it would be fun to bring in a guest speaker. The guys from Patriot Ambulance were great!
We divided the girls into five different groups and each group took turns in the ambulance and at four other stations. They had a blast!
First-aid kit making.
When to call 911 discussion.
Treating and preventing outdoor injuries.
Stop, Drop and Roll.
Finally, the last group had gone through the ambulance and it was time for Tim and Paul to leave. "Can we watch them go?" asked the last group. "Of course!" I replied and went in to get the rest of the girls too.
Thank you to everyone for making First Aid and Safety Day so fun! The girls had such a fabulous time (and we leaders did, too)! Special thanks to Tim and Paul from Patriot Ambulance! We hope that they had as much fun as we all did! xo

{These Moments} On Scout Sunday
{This Moment} A Friday ritual. Two photos- no words- capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you are inspired to do the same leave a link to your moment in the comments section below. We wish you a lovely first weekend of March! xo

Officially A Brownie!
"Twist me,
And turn me,
And show me the elf.
I looked in the water and saw,
I looked in the water and saw,
myself!"
Yesterday Emma finally got the chance to say the words that those of us who have been Brownie Scouts before her have already said. Words that she has been looking forward to saying since she watched Grace say them just one year prior. From the moment she woke up she was positively beaming at what was to come, and that same smile remained through the entire ceremony and the rest of the day afterward! It was a truly lovely day, and we were so thrilled to be able to hold this sweet ceremony outside. Congratulations Emma on becoming a Brownie! We are so very proud of you and the rest of the Brownies and cannot wait to see all that's in store for all of you this year! xo
