A Beachy Fairy Garden

A Happy Hedgehog Post beach themed fairy garden box helped to make Grace's birthday even more lovely than it already was! It arrived in the mail the other day, and the girls wasted no time putting their gardens together! The addition of the fairies they recieved at Easter time was absolutely brilliant (good thinking, Emma!) and made this sweet little table top garden even more lovely! Thank you, Donna, Peter and Henry for the love gift for Grace (and Emma) for her birthday! It was an instant hit! xo

An Enchanted Gift

Before we left for Unschoolers Rock the Campground a lovely gift from the girls Aunt Donna and Uncle Peter arrived for Grace's birthday.  This gift ended up being the very first one that Grace opened on her birthday.  After it had been opened and gushed over Emma and I went out to do some birthday errands and left Grace and my Mom at home to enjoy some Grace and Gramma time and give Grace a chance to paint her fairy house on her own.  When Em and I returned home we were greeted with a very excited Grace who proudly showed us her beautifully painted items.  We were super impressed! She did such a great job!  She still had a little painting she wanted to do so the entire garden did not end up being assembled until the next day.
"Emma, wanna come help?!"
Planting the grass seed and magic beans.
Putting Hannah the Fairy in her house.
Thanks Aunt Donna and Uncle Peter for such a spectacular gift!  It has already started to grow and some of the beans have sprouted up too!  The girls have had the best time tending to this sweet little garden, and I think it's safe to say that it will be enjoyed for many moons to come!

Our First Fairy Garden

Last Thursday, we gathered the needed supplies to make our first fairy garden!  While we have made many a fairy house in our time we have never before made a fairy garden! With the lovely weather of last week, and the fact that we had inherited some beautiful pansies from the beloved Miss Emily it seemed like the perfect time to put our first one together!
Emma got to digging while Grace went to go look for materials for her fairy garden.
And while our fairy gardens might not be super elborate this year they are indeed super sweet and totally reflective of the two souls who put them together!  I cannot wait to see what fairy gardens they create in the future!  And, as an added bonus, one of the things that Grace needs to do for Daisy Scouts is take care of her own mini-garden. I love that this sweet project fills that requirement.  There is a watering can badge in her future! To see more fairy gardens and enter the contest, head over to The Magic Onions!
