Happy Birthday, David!

 

We celebrated Dave's birthday on Saturday since both girls were home.  Key Lime pie was the dessert of choice for the birthday boy and gifts were opened. The girls had wanted to give him this shirt for Fathre's Day but came up with the idea too late to find someone to create it so we made it happen for his birthday instead! If you see our favorite guy today be sure to wish him a very happy birthday and another incredible trip around the sun! xo

Celebrating Our Favorite Guy

 

We celebrated our favorite guy with chocolate chip banana cake this morning, peach shortcake (with homemade cream biscuits) this evening, and a new game and a new mouse (so he stops stealing ours!) Happy Birthday, Dave!

 Tonight we celebrated forty-two years of this guy! And a spectacularly gorgeous summer night celebrating our most favorite guy practically begged for a trip to the tiki bar! We had never been before but gracious are we all super glad we went tonight! What a fun place! 

 Grace, on her last night as a pre-teen, is looking very teenage here! 

 You can take the girls out of the dance studio but you can't take the dance studio out of the girls! 

I'm pretty sure we could have sat here all night!

Friday Night (Wood Fired) Pizza!

 Last night, we made pizza on the grill using the super cool gift that Dave's parents gave him for his birthday! 

It was our first ever pizza on the grill, but it surely won't be our last! That was easily one of the tastiest pizzas we've ever made. The only complaint was that there wasn't more of it! xo 

In Celebration Of David (And Ice Cream)

In which we celebrated National Ice Cream Day AND David's birthday today! Two birds, one stone and the perfect way to celebrate our favorite guy! The shirt he's wearing is his birthday gift from the girls. xo 

In Celebration Of David

When Dave turned thirty (and Grace turned one) we had a large catered celebration in the backyard. It was a glorious day full of family and friends and good food and lots of fun. Fast forward ten years and when it came time to figure out what to do to welcome him to this next decade nothing sounded quite right. That was until one night the idea of coming up to Massachusetts was tossed out to Frank and Rob. No sooner were the words said than hotel rooms were booked and plans were made.

This gathering today, and the night on the town that followed, was absolutely the perfect celebration for this milestone birthday for Dave. I have no doubt that forty will be good to him! I cannot wait to see all the adventures that this next decade holds! Cheers to forty years, Dave! May all your birthday wishes come true! xo

Happy Birthday, David!

Since it was a gorgeous night (and we are basically furnitureless in the house) we decided to celebrate David's birthday outside this evening. The girls came up with his gifts: gardening gloves, a hose to replace the one out front that is more than ready to be retired, and a Lego set (the double decker couch from the Lego Movie). Such prefect gifts for their papa on his birthday!
