Wish Granted

Grace has wanted to see Hadestown on Broadway for at least two years now. We play.sing aling with the soundtrack in the car constantly (if Hadestown isn't on Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter or Noah Kahan is), and have watched as cast members that we would have loved to see (Patrick Page, Andre De Shields, Eva Noblezada and Ani DeFranco we're looking at you) left for other projects, and new ones (Stephanie Mills, Jordan Fisher Maia Reficco) arrived. Seeing thsi long held wish come true will forever be one of my most favorite memories. While we know the songs so well, getting to see the story unfold on stage, just added a deeper love and appreciation for this story/production. The cast was outstanding, the musicians steallar and the costuming and sets were perfection. If you have a chance to see Hadestown go, you won't regret it! xo

In Which Grace And Emma Go To Broadway!

This past Saturday, along with Dave's parents, we took the girls to see Frozen on Broadway! This was their first time seeing a Broadway show and I have to say it didn't disappoint! Frozen was the perfect first show for our girls to see (Frozen is "very us") and the six of us absolutely loved it! The magic of Disney was at it's best with this one, especially so during "Let It Go"! The costumes, the sets, the amazing actors, the beautiful dancing and the incredible singing were all absolute perfection! Thank you Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ron for such a special day for our girls (and for us too)! We are so very thankful/grateful/blessed to have shared this very special first of theirs with you! xo

Day One- Anchors Aweigh!

On Saturday, November 18th, we journied in to New York City to begin what we knew would be a completely incredible adventure - our (long awaited) first Disney Cruise!
NYC as seen from the GWB.
The Disney Magic in port.
Grace decorates our stateroom door with the magnets she felted.
Nothing says a Waldorf family is here like some felted magnets!
Our view as we cruised out of NYC that night.
Seeing Lady Liberty for the first time.
On our way to the tree lighting ceremony we ran into the lovely Cinderella!
Though the seas were rough as we got underway our first night on-board was absolutely magical. From being announced when we boarded the ship, to getting settled, to exploring, to a delicious lunch and dinner, and finally the tree lighting Day One was more incredible than we could have ever imagined! xo

One Weekend In May

May 9, 2015: While David and I were in NYC for Frank and Brady's wedding the girls were enjoying a fabulous time with Aunt Donna, Uncle Peter, Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ron. A trip to the zoo, to the bakery, to the garden store and a fabulous game of Left, Right, Center (in which Emma's doll managed to win) made for an absolutely wonderful weekend for our sweet girls! xo

Sunday. 7:45am.

There are no words to adequately express what it was like to be at the 9/11 Memorial on Sunday so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves. xo

Ten Years In The Making

We spent this past weekend in New York City celebrating the wedding of our friends Frank and Brady. Dave and I had a rare overnight just us, while Grace and Emma stayed in New Jersey with Donna and Peter.
The view from our room at the W.
A fancy day calls for fancy hair.
We sure do clean up nice.
Frank and Brady celebrated ten years together this past December by getting married at City Hall. Since they didn't have a chance to say their vows to each other that day they decided to do so at their celebration on Saturday. Brady's vows to Frank were done through song
Frank was left wondering how you possibly top that?!
First dance.
Each of the guys asked a friend to give a toast. Here Rob toasts Frank and Brady.
It was such a beautiful speech!
There was lots of picture taking on Saturday. It was so lovely to be reunited with our college friends after all these years. We've all remained connected thanks to Facebook but to be together in one spot was truly incredible. Some friends we've gotten together with over the years. Some we have not. On Saturday though it was just so good to be together again.

Fraternity brothers.
Kindred spirits.
So happy to get to spend time with all these ladies this past weekend!

Even though they've been together ten years already (and probably have all this figured out) these words just felt like the perfect piece of wisdom to share with them on such an auspicious occasion as this. Congrats, boys, on the first decade together! May this next decade (and your first one married) but just as incredible! It was an honor to celebrate with you this weekend and is a day we will treasure forever. All our love, support and friendship. Always. xo
