{This Moment} In Two Places At Once
{This Moment} A weekend ritual. A single photo -no words- capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Wishing you a lovely last week of September! xo

To Our Favorite Guy
Happy Father's Day to this guy! Buyer of Legos, steamer of dance costumes, fixer of things and encourager to all the women in the house. They don't come any better than him! xo

In Two Places At Once
They say you can't be in two places at once but we beg to differ! The girls have one foot in Marlborogh and one foot in Hudson thus proving you can in fact be in two places at once! This line between the two towns is definitely a favorite stopping spot on our walks lately. xo

A Favorite Spot
Our walks down the Rail Trail always find us stopping at this sweet little stream. We love to see what's going on in and around it, and it always makes me flashback to my growing up years in Bethany and the brook that ran through everyone's property on our street. So many days were spent playing in and around the brook in our yard, and I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt. that if our property had one too the girls would spend just as much time playing in and around it as I did when I was a kid. They've decided that on our next walk they'll be wearing their wellies. This way they can spend some time exploring in the stream. xo

A Glorious Autumn Day
It's hard to believe it's November here in New England these last few days. The weather has been unseasonably warm and truly incredible. As such we have taken full advantage of it, knowing all too well that weather like this will not be here for much longer. Dave's day ended earlier than usual and he arrived home super excited at the notion of heading down to the rail trail with the girls and their scooters this afternoon. Shoes were put on, scooters and helmets were still in the car from yesterdays trip there, and off we went. The girls scooted and collected bits of nature they found along the way (those bike baskets sure come in handy!) and Dave and I got to walk hand-in-hand and chat about our day and other such things that often need discussing by a mama and papa. It was a simply glorious day made even sweeter by the addition of our favorite guy to our trip.

A Sunday Family Bike Ride
The last few weeks the girls have been all about riding their bikes. They are on them multiple times each day and definitely each night after dinner. We headed down to the Rail Trail in town to give them a good amount of straight, flat road to ride. Dave even dusted off his mountain bike (which had not seen the light of day in at least six years). The girls loved having their Daddy ride with them. I chose to walk in case anyone needed any help. Plus, it gave me a chance to use Dave's fabulous iPhone to take some pictures (I seriously need to get me one of these, if for no other reason than the camera rocks)! It was a glorious way to spend a Sunday and I couldn't help but think how awesome it will be to ride the trail in the fall when all the leaves have changed and there is a crispness to the air.

A Walk with Friends
Incase I did not say it enough in yesterdays post, Monday was a most glorious day! We started out our day by meeting up with some dear friends for a walk along the part of the rail trail that runs through our town. Buckets were brought along for all the wonderful nature treasures the girls were sure they would find (and find they did).
We are looking forward to all the adventures we'll have along the rail trail when it's lush and green and in full bloom!
For now, we will wait and soak in all the blessings that Mother Nature chooses to send our way, be it snow or beautiful, mild, sunny days such as the last few have been.
Have a lovely night, dear friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.
