Handmade With Love

Each year as the girls activities come to an end we spend time discussing what they'd like to make as thank-you gifts for their teachers. Sometimes they choose projects we've created before (like the candle holders and beaded bubble wands shown in this post), sometimes they choose to bake something, or sometimes we take to Pintrest to see what inspiration we can find. Regardless of how the project gets chosen, they always select something lovely to create for each of their beloved teachers. From their earliest days of making gifts (be it for family or friends or teachers) they have always put some much love into everything they create. It's truly a joy to behold.

To each of the incredible teachers who are a part of our world: thank you for the love you have for your craft, and for how much you enjoy and encourage our girls. As they say, "it takes a village to raise a child" and we are so incredibly grateful to have each of you as part of ours! Have a wonderful summer! We'll see you in September! xo

A Lovely Thank-You

Yesterday we received a lovely surprise in the mail from Roost Books. As a thank-you for testing out the Monkey Bread recipe they sent us not one but two of their gorgeous cookbooks! What an absolutely lovely surprise! The girls wasted no time flipping through them and "oohing" and "ahhing" over each beautiful picture they came upon. Grace has already chosen the cake she'd like for her birthday, and Emma has a few ice cream and sorbet recipes lined up, too! It's sure to be very delicious spring and summer here at the sweet old farmhouse! xo
