Happy Earth Day!

In a family who strives to live as green and sustainably as possible, Earth Day, is like a major holiday. I had intended to come up with some really great doings to celebrate this wonderful day, but due to some unforseen circumstances (read:  having to buy a new car) things have been a little crazy around here the last couple of days.

I picked up a book, One Child, One Planet, last night, to add to our family library.  We started our celebration today by readying this beautifully photographed book.

Then we headed outside to pick up litter around our neighborhood.

Our neighborhood is very clean,
but with some searching we were able to find some items to pick up.

After we were done beautifying the neighborhood,
the girls headed into the yard to make mudpies.

And of course, it wouldn't be an Earth Day celebration without
"Earth Day Soup, Mama!"

Happy Earth Day, Dear Friends!

Even the "blooming blooms" were celebrating today!

With any luck, we'll see you tomorrow.
