Today the families were invited to spend a day being a Cricket. The kids made (and we all ate) some of the most delicious apple crisp we've ever had. We went and fed the cows from the hay loft in the barn, then we visited the new piglets that arrived on the farm the other day. We met another new resident - a Fisher, and learned that while people often call them Fisher Cats the correct term is simply Fisher. We walked back to the Nature Center where we partook of aforementioned apple crisp, had meeting, heard stories, created apple sauce/cinnamon ornaments and then played. It was a full day. It was a fabulous day. And I am so grateful that we got to see first hand how awesome it is to be a Cricket!
Aqui onde moro é assim um pouco de campo e um pouco de cidade e é muito bom ver as crianças vivendo isso. linda postagem!
ReplyDeleteYou find the most breathtakingly beautiful places to bring your children. Was this the same place as the preschool or is this a Nature Center? I would love to just sit in that barn.
ReplyDeleteHi Jess, Yep, this is where Emma goes to preschool! Can you believe it? Don't you wish that you had that kind of experience as a kid? I so wish that Grace had been able to go. Such a magical way to learn and grow! When we get together we'll take you and the girls there!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, my friend!
