"Twist me,
And turn me,
And show me the elf.
I looked in the water and saw,
I looked in the water and saw,
myself!"
Yesterday Emma finally got the chance to say the words that those of us who have been Brownie Scouts before her have already said. Words that she has been looking forward to saying since she watched Grace say them just one year prior. From the moment she woke up she was positively beaming at what was to come, and that same smile remained through the entire ceremony and the rest of the day afterward! It was a truly lovely day, and we were so thrilled to be able to hold this sweet ceremony outside. Congratulations Emma on becoming a Brownie! We are so very proud of you and the rest of the Brownies and cannot wait to see all that's in store for all of you this year! xo
How sweet! Tell her congrats from us. She looks positively radiant! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Yanic! I will surely pass the message along! I hope you are feeling better each day! xo
DeleteI love it! How fantastic! Congratulations Emma! Yes, I remember doing this as well many years ago in the late 70's. I do so hope that Alice, as the only new Brownie in her troop, will be given this sort of opportunity but I don't really know- there has been no mention of it. She has had two meetings though and has absolutely loved it so I regret not starting her sooner!
ReplyDeleteOh I so hope that Alice gets to do this too! If not, maybe hold your own at home! Such a sweet story and ceremony and one that I am sure she would love! xo
DeleteShe looks so happy Shel. What a special day. xo
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim! She surely was! Her smile was ear to ear all day long! xo
