Making May Crowns
Last Thursday the girls and I attended a May Crown making class held by A Garden of Friends (a Waldorf homeschool group). It was the first time we had been able to attend, but it surely won't be the last! Everyone was so welcoming and so kind and we felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The gathering began with one of the kids playing a piece on his violin and then it was right into May Crown making. We worked and chatted and it wasn't long before the crowns were done. It was so neat to see how beautiful and unique each one was! A story was read, snacks were passed out and enjoyed and afterward some games were played. With happy hearts, full bellies and beautiful new crowns we said our "thank-yous" and "good-byes" and headed on our way. It was such a lovely way to spend our May Day Eve and we look forward to visiting with everyone again soon! xo
