::Right Now::

Right now I am::
::still feeling as crummy as I was when I woke up this morning.

:so happy to have been able to have a low key yet fun morning with my girls. Fairy Queen is the perfect way to spend a rainy morning if you ask me!

::feeling blessed by the three souls that I share this space with. The girls have taken such good care of me today and their sweet papa even brought us soothing chicken noodle soup from Panera for lunch this afternoon.

::so grateful for the job that Dave has which allows him to be closer to home and more a part of our days (even if it is just a quick stop in to drop off soup).

::realizing that it's been awhile since I last did one of these posts.

::wishing that it was snow outside instead of the copious amount of rain that we've had all day long.

::contemplating what knitting project to work on next.

::finding it hard to believe that Thanksgiving is fast approaching (and that there are only a handful of weeks left of 2014).

::wondering what the rest of the week holds.

::thinking it's time for a cup of tea and a movie while the girls are at dance class. xo

::Right Now::

Right now I am:
::happily tired after Jazzercise this morning and swimming at the lake this afternoon.

:so very grateful that Dave had the day off today and could join us for our (just about daily) trip to the lake. What a treat to have him there with us today!

:wishing that our house was on the lake. That way we could always be there!

:finding it hard to believe that in a little over a week we'll have an eight year old in the house.

:realizing how much I need to do to get ready for the aforementioned birthday (and for her Papa's birthday the day before). :making note that we need to get to the farm and the library tomorrow. :making note that we need to get to the farm and the library tomorrow.

:thinking that we really need to work knitting into our daily (or weekly) rhythm soon.

:looking forward to the many tomato plants that we have in the garden bearing fruit. There really is nothing like eating a tomato that was on the vine only moments before.

:wondering when the blueberries at our favorite farm will be ready for picking. Any day now, I would think.

:listening to the sound of Little Bear on the TV and thinking about how much we love this sweet show (and always will).

:wishing that I could figure out where I put our beautiful Waldorf seasonal postcards. I've been missing them for awhile now and probably should just give up my search and order another set. Our nature table just hasn't felt right without them.

:looking back at past ::Right Now:: posts and reflecting on how quickly the days have passed and how grateful I am that our days are still very much as they always have been- peaceful, slow paced and full of love.

:making note that we need to get to the farm and the library tomorrow.

:constantly impressed at what an amazing pair Grace and Emma are. Their sisterhood and friendship is truly awe inspiriting, and I am so very glad to be witness to it each and every day.

:feeling very blessed to share this life, this journey and this space with the three souls that I do.

:wishing each of you a summer full of slow days and wonderful moments. xo

::Right Now::

Right now, I am:
::(as always) so thankful for this incredible life we live.

::really impressed at how beautiful Grace's handwriting is.

::giggling at how long it took the girls to discover Skippy (our elf's) hiding spot of the day.

::grateful for kindred spirits and dear friends.

::wondering when it's going to start to feel like December.  Fifty degrees in New England in December just doesn't feel right.

::thinking I really should be addressing our holiday cards.

::super excited that the girls are starting ballet on Monday and that we'll become part of an amazing community of people whose love of their craft just radiates from the moment you meet them.

::happy to have (once again) started to learn to knit.

::pondering what's in store for us for the rest of this month.

::finding that Amanda's words said it best: "hoping for grace, patience and an open heart in the 'everyday' day that lies ahead."

::wishing you all a wonderful, magical holiday season!

::Right Now::

Right now we are:
::beaming with pride over Grace earning her final Daisy petal!
::reveling in the amazingness that was the last two days weather (thanks Mother Nature!).
::grateful for friends who truly"get it".
::anxiously awaiting the official arrival of spring.
::in awe that one week ago our world was covered with snow.
::talking about all the wonderful things we want to do/bring to Unschoolers Rock the Campground this summer (July cannot come fast enough).
::loving how naturally the girls are learning all sorts of wonderful things and how full our days are!
::contemplating adding some hamsters into the mix.
::constantly reminded how the girls will do things in their own time and when they are ready.
::looking forward to all the adventures that tomorrow holds.

::Right Now::

Right now. I am:

::taking a break from posting about our wonderful trip to Vermont last weekend to share some beautiful photos of our day today.

::thinking there is nothing like learning the letter b by making clothespin butterflies!

::still smiling every time I walk by the beautiful wet on wet watercolor paintings Grace and I made together yesterday.

::loving how we have settled into our autumn rhythm and are enjoing the adventures (or mellowness) that each day brings.

::happy that Dave is on vacation this week and is able to be a part of the parts of our day that he is not usually around for.

::looking forward to enjoying lots of delicious applesauce (and other things that we have canned) this winter. It will certainly be a nice reminder of things to come when the ground is blanketed in white.

::honored to get to be present for so much more of the girls lives than I would if they were traditionally schooled littles.  Being able to watch them soar to new hights each day is, quite simply, the best!

::grateful to have such wise friends (practicing bike riding on the empty deck is just brilliant!  Thanks, Sarah!)!

::in awe of the way things work out.

::thinking we shoulda had a third child.  We made a pretty awesome family of five this evening!

::ending lots of happy thoughts, heart beams and sweet dreams to our buddy Owen for a speedy recovery (and for a good night sleep for everyone)!

::Right Now::

Right now, I am:

::enjoying the beauty of the sunflowers, zinnias and gladilous that we picked at the farm today.

::in shock that it's August already.  How is it possible that the year is flying by this quickly?

::happy that we got to spend another day at the beach.

::wishing that we lived right on the lake.

::looking forward to seeing what tomorrows CSA bag is brimming over with.

::contemplating how much longer it will be until we can start canning tomato sauce.

::wondering what David and I should do to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks (and beginning to think about how to celebrate our tenth anniversary the following year).

::relieved that even though today did not start out so great we were able to get back into our usual rhythm and have the middle and end part of the day be wonderful!

::wishing you all a lovely night spent relaxing with those you love most after a busy day!

::Right Now::

(This final photo taken by Emma)

Right now, I am:
::listening to the birds singing joyfully as the girls play.

::enjoying these lazy summer days and seeing where each day takes us.

::grateful for good conversations (and yummy food) shared with dearest friends who just totally "get it".

::loving the little "village" that we have created with the people we call "our family of friends".

::hopeful that the material I ordered to make Grace's birthday crown arrives in time.

::finding it hard to believe that my sweet first born daughter turns five in nine days.

::reflecting on seeing the girls and two of their best friends playing like such big kids in our backyard yesterday.  Time is just flying by too fast!

::realizing that a very special person is getting married in Vermont in a few months and that I still have yet to find dresses for the girls and I to wear to the wedding.

::excited that Dave is on vacation next week.

::in awe of how fast the garden is growing.

::wondering what adventures our day will hold today.

::wishing you all a beautiful day full of simply lovely moments!

::Right Now::

Right now, I am...
::grateful for kindred spirits and mamas (especially my own) who "get it".

::wishing that David was home tonight.

::in awe of the sheer fabulousness that is Grace and Emma.  They are truly amazing and I am so honored to be their mama.

::loving Pandora and all the wonderful songs that we heard today, especially "Power of Two" by Indigo Girls, "Thank You" by Charlotte Kendrick and "One Voice" by The Wallin' Jennys.  Those songs are like a balm for my soul!

::contemplating what fun things we should do to celebrate the upcoming summer solstice.

::listening to the quiet that only comes from two littles snuggled together and dreaming after a fun filled (albeit low key) day.

::excited that CSA season and berry season is upon us and that I will be able to put my brand new water bath canner to good use soon!

::content and happy with all of the rhythms of our day but most especially our evening rhythm. There is just something so sweet and so wonderful about that one.

::looking forward to seeing the beautiful birthday ring that my parents have been working on in preparation for Grace's birthday next month.  Oh, how I wish we had started that tradition with birthday number one.  Better late than never, I suppose!

::finding it hard to believe that Grace turns five next month.  Where has the time gone?

::pondering what adventures tomorrow holds.

::beyond blessed to get to live this incredible life!
