{This Moment} Last Saturday At Tower Hill

{This Moment} A Friday ritual. A single photo (or nine!) capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Wishing you a lovely and peaceful weekend! xo

Yesterday And Today

Along with folding origami frogs, yesterday also found us doing our first sap boil of the season! The smell of maple in the air is a sure sign that spring is on the way (and what a truly sweet sign it is)!

Today was all abut welcoming the new month with some skiing, voting, (more sap boiling and lots and lots of playing outside!
And of course, no March 1st would be complete if we didn't have daffodils on the table and wish all our Welsh friends a very lovely Saint David's Day! xo

Saint David's Day

Some coloring pages and some daffodils made for a simple and lovely Saint David's Day today. Hopefully next year we'll add in some daffodil crafts and Welsh Cakes to our celebration, too. Happy Saint David's Day to all who celebrate!  xo

On Saint David's Day

Today is Saint David's Day. And while we are not Welsh we figure with a David living in our house it's only right to celebrate this holiday! We've actually known about Saint David's Day for about six years now (thanks to our dear friend Sarah whose family is Welsh) though we have not recognized it until this year. The Daffodil is the symbol of this day (and one of the national emblems of Wales) so we made sure to acquire some (and, really, any excuse to have fresh flowers in the house- especially Daffs- works for us)! This year our celebration consisted of stew, Daffodils and coloring. Next year we'll add some more to our Saint David's Day celebration (I found some lovely ideas on Pintrest today). Happy Saint David's Day, friends! Spring is surely on the horizon!
