Last Saturday

This past Saturday some of our most favorite people came to visit! Russ, Patricia, Alice and Patricia's mom journied down from New York state to spend the day with us (and the weekend in Massachusetts. And since it was Gnomevember at Tower Hill we started our wonderful day together there!
Gnome scavenger hunt.
Counting gnomes.
After our trip to Tower Hill and a stop at New City for ice cream, the girls went swimming at the pool and then everyone came to our house for dinner. Lasagna, salad, molasses cookies and a delicious chocolate cake (made by Alice!) was the perfect ending to a fabulous day! Thanks for coming to visit, dear friends! xo

{This Moment} Last Saturday At Tower Hill

{This Moment} A Friday ritual. A single photo (or nine!) capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Wishing you a lovely and peaceful weekend! xo

Along The Fairy House Trail

On Friday we went over to Tower Hill to check out the fairy houses that had been created the weekend before. The word on the street was that the fairy houses would be up through this past weekend, and then they'd disappear after that. Being the mama of two fairy loving girls I knew exactly where we needed to be on that gorgeous day!
Heading further down the fairy house trail.
 Working on their fairy house.
Nothing like a bit of fairy magic, and time spent in nature, to kick off the weekend! xo

On Sunday

A glorious Sunday called for a trip to Tower Hill. We were the first people to arrive and had the entire place to ourselves for a good long while. The girls and I walked around, oohing and aahing over each gorgeous flower, tree and plant we saw. And gracious, the honey bees were abundant and hard at work! We crafted a bit (do you love the honeycombs we designed?) and explored some more, had some lunch and ended our visit with a fun filled scavenger hunt! We stayed much longer than we had planned, but really, on a gorgeous day like that, why not?! xo

A Summer Solstice Adventure

Yesterday, along with our friend/fairy godmother Mrs. Fadden, we celebrated the Summer Solstice at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. It was absolutely glorious out and the perfect place to welcome the arrival of summer!

At the Wild Rumpus. The girls absolutely loved this!

This butterfly totally posed for this picture!

Walking the grounds on such a glorious day truly was the perfect way to welcome the Summer Solstice in! Thank you, Jane, for such a wonderful adventure. We had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back again soon! xo
