Breakfast Tea Party

This morning as soon as we were all downstairs and snuggled on the couch, Grace said to me:  "Mama, let's have a tea party today."  We added that to the list of things we wanted to do today and got busy making blueberry muffins and getting ready for our tea party.

  1. Lucky frog :-)))))) Blueberry Muffins are my favourite!

I found your blog via Soulemama's Friday moments. And I love to read foreign blogs to improve my English. We used to travel a lot as a couple but now we are a party of five and that makes long flights more difficult... But one day we will see Africa, Australia and America again with our children!

My blog is only written in German but there is a Google Translation Gadget. Google translations are horrible (or funny?!) but I hope it is better than nothing.

    Greetings from Germany!

  2. Thanks for the scoop on the Google translation gadget! I had checked out your blog (love your blog banner! Where did you get those adorable figurines, I would LOVE some for our nature table) and was so sad that I could not read it! I will have to use the translation gadget!

Where in Germany are you? I have never been, hope to get there some day since my ancestors are from there. I am not sure if we still have family there. My maiden name is Frolich and my family comes from two towns, only one of which I remember, Dinkelsbühl.

I am so glad that you found our blog and look forward to keeping up with yours now too! Have a great rest of the day! :)

  3. If you want to learn more about the figurines (I LOVE them too!!!!) check http://www.wendt-kuehn.de/. Those "Blumenkinder" = Flower Children are very popular in this area as well as the angels for christmas time. I am sure you can buy them in the US - hope you find out!

I grew up close to Frankfurt but due to my husband's job some years ago we moved to a little town in Thuringia. The bigger cities close to us are Leipzig and Dresden (though both ar Saxonian cities). Dinkelsbühl is in Bavaria, maybe a two hour drive away from us. I am pretty sure the original name of your ancestors must be Fröhlich which is a common name in Germany.

    Greetings from Germany!

  4. Karen, thank you so much for the link to the figurines! They are adorable and I am thrilled to know that there are three stores near us that sell them. Now just to find the time to go and choose some pieces to add to our home!

Yes, that would be the original name of our ancestors. I had heard they droped one of the h's when they came over. I would love to head to Germany someday and see where our family is from!

Hope all is well! I am so glad to get to meet you!
