Happy 100th Birthday, Girl Scouts!

On Saturday we went to UMass to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Girl Scouts!   We made our way through the crowd, attempting to get the lay of the land when we happened upon this gorgeous quilt.
After that the girls made some Asian Longhorned Beetle antenna.  A rather unique way to get the word out about what these bugs that are causing major infestations in trees in Worcester county look like!
Dave and Grace worked on a watercraft,
while Em checked out the goings on down in the parking lot.
While we waited for Dave to get back from the car with our picnic the girls did a little dancing.
"I didn't know that the Police could ride horses, mama!"-Grace
We made our way out to the dance tent.  We missed the flash mob but never miss the chance for a good dance party.  Now, if only they played "Raise Your Glass" by Pink (the unofficial song of unschoolers everywhere) we would have been in our glory!
And of course, no Girl Scout gathering is complete without s'mores!
