Peter and the Wolf

This afternoon we had the pleasure of seeing Peter and the Wolf performed by the Worcester Chamber Music Society at the gorgeous and historic Mechanics Hall. It was the first time we  had been there and the firs time that the girls were experiencing Peter and the Wolf (and  how fitting that it comes on the heals of our Russian theme)! The place was packed! I'm glad we arrived on the earlier side as we were able to score some pretty sweet seats up in the balcony! The girls loved Peter and the Wolf (the bird was their favorite)! After the performance kids were invited up on to the stage to meet the musicians (it was super crowded so we passed) and the art that had been projected was on display for viewing. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, and we're all so very glad that we went!

  1. FYI, David Bowie narrated a version with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

  2. My Aunt and Uncle are always at this theater seeing the latest show. Now I see why! That is a stunning theater. I went as a child when I lived in Worcester, but I barely remember it......What a lovely day.

    1. I had a feeling this would be a familiar place to you, though methinks it may be time for you and your girls to take in a show there! :)
