Our Family Promise

Two years ago we created our first Family Promise. At the time Emma was not yet writing letters so she signed it with her signature as it was back then when she was four years old. Now, that she's older and able to write her name using letters we thought it was time to update our family promise with new signatures. This time we typed it up and then used Emma's super cool new pen (one that has five color choices!) to sign it, slipped it into the magnetic frame and put it up on the fridge where the one before it had been. It's such a lovely reminder each time we're in the kitchen (or go in the fridge) about what's important to us a family. It's also been really helpful in guiding us through times when we need a wee bit of refocusing. Such a cherished document this Family Promise of ours is, and I am looking forward to seeing how it changes (if at all) over the years.
