Ladybug, Ladybug

Yesterday and the day before the outside of our house had hundreds of ladybugs all over it! The girls came in super excited to have discovered them and insisted that I "come and see them right away". I could not believe my eyes when I went outside and saw so very many of them! I'm not sure that I had ever seen that many of them in one spot before in my life! Photographing them was very tricky as they are super fast, and just about the time that the camera would focus on one it would either be out of the frame or it would fly away. What a gift from Mother Nature to have so very many ladybugs calling our sweet old farmhouse home for those two days! xo

  1. Welcome to my world! We have them like that every fall and spring, on the warmer days, and then through the winter they move indoors...to our home. While I do love them, they can be a bit of a pain.

  2. How fun! I hope you told the Lost Lady Bug Project. Apparently Lady Bugs are disappearing, so they want to know where they have been found.

  3. My husband and daughters call them "lady birds"....they are supposed to be good luck! We see one now and again, but never a whole bunch like that. :)
