Eight boxes packed, paint samples chosen and a break for lunch at the local diner made for one very productive Emma and Mama Adventure yesterday!
For those that don't know our house endured a fair amount of damage thanks to the "Epic Winter That Was". Because of all the ice dams/water damage we need to pack up the entire first floor, the girls' room and a bit of the upstairs bathroom in preparations for the renovations that will be starting soon. Eight boxes packed (and one box and large bag of donations set aside) yesterday was a great start but goodness there is still so much more to do. We're excited for the renovations and to see the gorgeous end result!

And, since Dave got in on the lunchbox note fun the day before, Emma asked to be the one to leave Grace a note yesterday. I love how the lunchbox note leaving became such a family affair! xo
Oh goodness, I'm not surprised the snow left its mark but I'm sorry you're having to have so much done, fingers crossed it all goes smoothly:)
ReplyDeleteI can empathize with you, Shel. We've been getting rid of things, donating things, packing things for our future move and trying to get everything down to the bare minimum in each room. My realtor said the cleaner and less filled the house is, the quicker it will probably sell. We're still working on getting that For Sale sign in the front yard!!! Hopefully after this weekend!! : )
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend!! ~ Wendy
I love the family lunch box notes! Grace must have been so happy each time she sat down to lunch. I can imagine it's really hard work getting ready for renovations but it looks like you had the perfect helper! It will all be worth it once it's finished. Can't wait to see the end result!!
