Simple Things

I absolutely adore the fact that the girls can take the simplest item and turn it into hours of fun.  I love that they have vivid imaginations and that they can create fabulous games and stories from just a few simple things.  An quart container, laundry basket, egg slicer, wrapping paper tube, or a wooden spoon and empty oatmeal container can equal hours (and days) of fun. And most importantly I love that they enjoy sharing these games and stories with each other (and us too).  Creating.  Doing.  Inventing.  Being.  Dreaming.  These are essential components to childhood and I am happy to see them existing here.  With our girls. With us.

What very pretty hats!

Discovering that the egg slicer makes music.

Have a wonderful rest of the day, dear ones.
We'll see you tomorrow.
