Our First Lantern Walk

We went on our first lantern walk on Saturday.  It was an absolutely perfect night, made even more magical by the lovely full moon that was shining down on us.  We gathered together, listened as the story of St. Martin was told, and then headed outside with lanterns in hand to begin the walk.  It was a beautifully clear night, moon high above and the glow of everyones lanterns made the night even more special.  We sang lantern songs as we made our way over to the path we would take through the woods.  After our walk was finished we all headed back inside for some yummy molasses cookies and mulled cider.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!

  3. Thanks girls! It was such a magical night! We're looking forward to next year already (though may have to take a cue from Amy and head outside with our lanters on Solstice)!

  4. I love this. Our youth group at church is caroling this year and this would be a great activity to do beforehand.
